GALILEE – On Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at the Domus Galilee Seminary in Korazim, Mgr Rafiq Nahra, Patriarchal Vicar of Israel, presided over a Mass for the Institution of three new Lectors (Adolfo de Leon, Pedro Mendoza, Elija Sobtzick) and five new Acolytes (Oscar John Nuñez, Luca Solbach, Giacomo Pagliariccia, Francisco Hurtado, Elias Gavin). While referring to the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is also celebrated on the eve of this day, he said: “This feast is important for the Christian faith, as it is a key that helps us understand the actions of God throughout Salvation history. His infinite love was embodied through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the Cross, for the Salvation of each one of us. And now by His grace and love, he dwells in our hearts through the Gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Directing his words to the newly admitted lectors and acolytes, he instructed them to "Be faithful to the Word and the Eucharist because this is a token of God’s perfect love to his people.
