The Youth Adult Ministry (YAM) group of St. Joseph (AACC) Arab American Catholic Community in Pomona, California, held their monthly meeting on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the pastoral center in Pomona. The Title of the meeting was "What It Means to Be a Christian". The gathering began with a prayer session, followed by a talk by Father Ala Musharbash about the importance of building a relationship with God and how we can reflect God's image in society. Afterward, there was time for personal reflection on various topics, and then attendees shared their spiritual and personal experiences. The meeting concluded with a social time among the members.
It's worth noting that the St. Joseph (AACC) youth group was established about a year ago, initiated by Father Ala Alalamat and some young people. It was then announced and promoted, welcoming all youth from the Arab community in Southern California. The group aims to bring together young people of Arab descent or origin and conduct Spiritual meeting to help them grow spiritually while preserving their Arab roots and culture. The group is open to all young people between the ages of 18 and 35 years old. They have a monthly meeting, in addition to some responsibilities assigned to them in the Arab community church.
