HOLY LAND – The Council of European Bishops’ Conferences (CCEE) will hold its Annual Plenary Assembly in the Holy Land on September 11-16, at the invitation of His Beatitude Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. This Assembly brings together the presidents of all the Episcopal Conferences of Europe.
The Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land, and the CCEE, invite Christians of the Holy Land to participate in five major events to be held during the Plenary Assembly.
First in Galilea, with a celebration in honor of Our Lady at the Basilica of Annunciation, in Nazareth, on september 12 ; then in Mi’lya, on september 13, for the feast of the Cross at the Greek Melkite Church.
Three events will take place in Jerusalem and Bethlehem : Solemn Entry to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre on September 14; Mass presided by Patriarch Fouad Twal in the Church of St. Catherine in Bethlehem on September 15; and Thanksgiving Mass in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre, presided by His Eminence Peter Cardinal Erdo, president of the CCEE on September 16.
