PRESS RELEASE – the Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land (AOCTS) informs that His Excellency Raphael Minassian, Archbishop of the Ordinary for Armenian Catholics of Eastern Europe, leaves the Holy Land for his new mission in a vast territory.
Msgr. Joseph (Hovsep) Kelekian is the new Exarch for Armenian Catholics in the Holy Land (Jerusalem, and Jordan). He was in Rome as rector of the Pontifical Armenian College from 2007 to 2010, and then at the disposal of Father Vahan Ohanian, Armenian Apostolic Administrator of Eastern Europe. He is well-known for his work in spreading a culture of peace, solidarity and cooperation among peoples, showing a new approach to it, beyond all limits of races and religions.
At the upcoming Christmas holidays, His Excellency R. Minassian will be in Jerusalem with the new Exarch to supply him with required instructions.
